We Prioritize a safe workplace

At Cox, we value our people.

We are committed to the belief that a safe and secure workplace is critical to the health and well-being of all employees, and to Cox’s success. We all play critical roles in promoting a culture of safety where every employee feels safe and cared for. Part of our company’s culture is looking out for our own safety as well as that of our colleagues.

It’s the responsibility of leaders and supervisors or managers to prioritize safety and actively engage employees on the importance of safety. Each employee in turn must engage their supervisor or manager, HR business partner, security or the Ethics Hotline when an action or environment is assessed to be unsafe or poses a risk to the health and wellness of employees or visitors to our locations.

Cox supports a Drug-Free Workplace. Therefore, possessing, selling, using or being under the influence of an illegal or recreational drug on company property, including company vehicles, or during working hours is strictly prohibited, as is consuming alcohol on company property or during working hours unless at a Cox-approved event. Cox also will not tolerate any level of violence or threats of violence in the workplace. In addition, as allowed by applicable law, employees are prohibited from possessing any type of weapon while on company property or while conducting company business (including where an employee holds a weapons permit) unless approved by the senior vice president of Enterprise Security.

Each of us has the right to operate in an environment where everyone goes home safe.
